Brotherhood of the Wolf

Dan Laustsen spent spring 2000 filming Christophe Gans' historic action horror drama in France and England - without being able to speak French! There were some other non-French speakers on the set - lead Mark Dacascos from the U.S., stunt co-ordinator Philip Kwok and part of his stunt crew and a few other crewmembers, but the main language was French, so there was definitely a lot of translating going on.

Filming was done using 2-3 cameras, and setting the light was complicated so DL did not shoot A-camera himself, and because of that, he missed the close contact he would otherwise have had with the actors.

I've been so fortunate as to be allowed to borrow some of Dan Laustsen's own wide-screen photos from the shoot. As DL is busy filming, I have not been able to get any comments from him, so all comments are mine.
