Thanks for a wonderful site. Just watched both seasons of TBE - thank goodness for NetFlix! - and I'm hooked.
Here's hoping Tony finds a new show so we can gaze into those gorgeous eyes every week!!

A new show with Tony would be great - but it looks like he's mainly doing theater and photography these days.

The DVD set is fantastic. Very good quality! And I forgot how many characters on the show wore dapper hats. (heh)

Yes, isn't it great?
I posted it on the news page a couple of days ago - I got the heads up from TVShowsOnDVD where I had signed up for an alert.
I really look forward to replacing my fuzzy old tapes with crisp - or at least crisper - DVDs.

Jennifer
That was great news about the dvd release for this summer (I hope it happens on time). I got two heads up emails from separate folks this week on the release, and appreciated that so much. (Had a cold.it made me feel a bit better.)

It's a shame that many shows (with a decent sized fanbase) in the 80's and 90's didn't get released to tape or dvd when they ended. I was a huge fan of another show that aired in the late 80's, and it didn't get distributed on dvd until 2 or 3 years ago. Fans were thrilled, but slightly frustrated that they had to wait that long.

Have you checked whether they were released outside teh US? F/X the Series has so far only been released in the UK, and Crow: Stairway to Heaven was released in Japan and Europe quite a while before the US release.
Also I figure they release the first season, and if not enough buy it, we never get more. That looks like what happened to The Commish.

Replying to Madam Webmaster, I have a few friends from the New Orleans area, and they do sound similar (not dead on) in terms of accent, when I compare them to TBE. But whether or not it was a good accent is still up to interpretation.

In any case, there are a few clips out on Youtube from the show. Just look up "The Big Easy", and three should come up in a search (not all together, unfortunately). The "Begirled" one is pretty good, even at a mere 10 minute clip.

I know of some New Orleanians who thought the series was completely fake.
Like CSI: Miami is realistic ... not!

Thanks for the heads up - I never thought to check youtube for clips.

And he's funny too!

I went to see Tony in Spamalot. After the show, one of the guys in the show came out of the theater, and I told him I'd been a fan of Tony's for about 10 years, and I asked if he could help me meet him.

Sure enough, he calls him on his cell, talks to him for a minute, and tells me he'll be right out.

And sure enough, he spent about 20 minutes talking to my mom and I. He was even more sweet, charming, funny, and handsome than I'd expected him to be.

How sweet!
I wish I could go see Spamalot too!
You didn't happen to mention the fansite? ;-)

I'm from Northern Ireland over in America for the first time studying Media in Florida for 10 weeks. I'm half way through my course which I'm enjoying very much.

I thought that you played the character Remi McSwain very well in the TV Series The Big Easy. It used to be on during the week around 3:00am and I usually stayed up to watch it so I was very disappointed when it was taken off air.

DANG!
You should have studied in Las Vegas - that way you could have popped in on Tony at Spamalot and said hi!
Have fun in Florida.

What a great website. I have seen Tony twice in Spamalot in Las Vegas and he was incredible. He plays multiple parts. What an amazing talent. Cheers to him, I hope he stays in Vegas for a long time!!!!!!!!
