BiographyByron Mann is a very private man, so these few details will have to do:Born in Hong Kong. He's the youngest of three brothers. He was a junior champion tennis player - at one point he was top-ranked in Hong Kong! It's a sport that he still enjoys, in addition to golf. Travelling is also a hobby. |

He was active in high school and community theatre as both an actor and a writer. Was drama captain for his House until he left for university in the US. He moved to California to study philosophy at UCLA, and while there, his interest in acting was rekindled. Back in Hong Kong again, he attended law school, but he also got an acting role in "Last Flight Out". After that, he returned to Los Angeles, passed the California Bar and studied acting on the side. Byron Mann first came to the attention of US audiences with an appearance as a gifted student interviewed by "Murphy Brown" in 1993. |

Being born in Hong Kong, he of course speaks fluent Cantonese, and did not need to be dubbed in
Crying Freeman (1995).
TriviaByron Mann has portrayed two Manga characters:Koh from Crying Freeman and Ryu from Street Fighter. He even played Ryu in a videogame, based on the movie. Byron Mann is the third actor from Crying Freeman to have guest starred in Martial Law - Mark Dacascos and Mako are the two others. |
